Multiple different sites can be maintained in a single OpenCms installation using the integrated site management of OpenCms. Every site has its own set of resources independent from other sites and can be addressed with its URL by the public.

For each site, different groups and users can be defined and different templates for the site contents can be used. Logged in OpenCms workplace users can only select the sites their are allowed to view based on their permissions that were set in the virtual file system of OpenCms.

Optional server aliases and a secure server (https) can be configured for each OpenCms site.
