The opencms-dev mailing list is the place for all questions, comments and suggestions for OpenCms and the main forum of the OpenCms community. Use this list for simple "first time" user questions as well as for specialized comments, questions and/or feedback regarding OpenCms. The OpenCms core development team from Alkacon Software and several other experienced OpenCms users and developers are regularly answering questions on this list.
Participation on the opencms-dev mailing list is of course voluntary. In case you have a question where you really need an answer, there are professional support options available for OpenCms as well. Please see the Support section for details.

Oct 11, 2022 - This version features XML schema versioning with automatic content rewrite. Also new is support for two factor authentication (2FA) in the user login. A source code editor widget is available for multi-line text input fields. The Mercury template has been updated to use Bootstrap 5.2.

Oct 11, 2022 - Alkacon OCEE 14 is the latest OCEE release for OpenCms 14. This version fixes a number of issues that have been detected in Alkacon OCEE 13.
Apr 13, 2022 - OpenCms 13 features a new plugin system as a more flexible replacement of the "headincludes" functionality. Geo search functionality has been added to find contents by geo coordinates. Extensions to the template variant mechanism allow setting overrides and renaming of formatter keys. There are also refinements for the "Mercury" default template as well as security improvements.
OpenCms Days 2016 will take place September 26 to 27 in Cologne, Germany.
Highlight of the international user conference and expo will be the introduction of OpenCms 10.5. OpenCms Days will be the perfect opportunity to exchange experiences around OpenCms with high profile participants and speakers from all over the world.
