OpenCms Days 2008 Conference and Expo

The first 'get together' of the OpenCms community

OpenCms Days 2008 has taken place from Monday, May 5 to Tuesday, May 6 2008 in Cologne, Germany at the "German Sports and Olympia Museum".

For the first time, OpenCms users and developers gathered for a 2 day conference and expo. This was the best opportunity ever to meet and mingle with OpenCms experts such as core developers, experienced consultants, independent CMS analysts, executive decision makers and other OpenCms users.

OpenCms Days 2008 has been a great success. For those who missed the event, the presentation sildes from the conference sessions are available for download here.

OpenCms Days 2008 conference featured 2 parallel tracks with Business and Technical sessions:

  • Business sessions did focus on OpenCms showcases, best practices, industry discussions and management decision making insights to OpenCms.
  • Technical sessions were targeted towards developers and provided in-depth, hands-on presentations and workshops about OpenCms technical features.

At the conference expo, OpenCms solution providers exhibited their OpenCms business solutions and enhancements.

OpenCms Days 2008 featured a lineup of prestigious international speakers from the OpenCms community.

OpenCms Days 2008 was targeted towards an international audience. The language spoken at the event was English, and all presentations have been held in English language.

  • OpenCms 17 available

    Apr 9, 2024 - OpenCms 17 gives content managers the new app "Date search" to find content that has been changed in a certain time range. The "Websites" app allows to easily export the content of a complete site for archiving. An option has been added to hide "sensitive" content in the Offline project. The default Mercury template has been further improved, e.g. with SEO optimized job postings, a "spacer" function and marker clusters for maps. OpenCms 17 has also been tested and certified using Java 17 LTS and 21 LTS.
