Abstract

This session's main purpose is to provide all attendees a good understanding of the meaning of OpenCms for the Spanish market in both, client and solution provider's point of view. Covering, at the same time, all the economical aspects involved in the projects execution.

In order to have a clear positioning of this CMS tool, its limitations will be covered, as well as the pros and cons versus its main alternatives in the market.

All the information that will be treated is an up to date overview as result of a recent research study that has been carried out with the purpose of the present conference, contacting most of the important customers and companies in Spain.

This session is highly recommended for those participants that are interested on learning the customers' opinion about OpenCms, on having a commercial vision in a different country and how to enhance OpenCms.

    Apr 13, 2022 - OpenCms 13 features a new plugin system as a more flexible replacement of the "headincludes" functionality. Geo search functionality has been added to find contents by geo coordinates. Extensions to the template variant mechanism allow setting overrides and renaming of formatter keys. There are also refinements for the "Mercury" default template as well as security improvements.

The default "Mercury" template has been greatly improved. Template variants allow to completely switch the generated HTML of a website simply by configuration. The updated WebDAV implementation enables mounting the OpenCms virtual file system from any WebDAV client.
