Dan Liliedahl is the founder and CTO of eFoundry Corporation, a premier consulting company with expertise in selecting, specifying and delivering Open Source and commercial content management, portal and collaboration systems.

Since starting eFoundry in 1998 he has developed Web solutions for Fortune 500 companies such as JPMorganChase, Disney, Sirius Satellite Radio, and AMTRAK.

Prior to starting eFoundry, Dan was a principal consultant and architect with FutureTense, a start up commercial CMS product vendor, and Open Market, whose products continue to have a strong market presence under a new company name.

In addition to his full-time work, Dan frequently donates his marketplace and technical expertise to selected non-profit organizations.  He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire and has over 20 years of industry experience. 

In his spare time, he enjoys alpine skiing, playing hockey and coaching his kids' soccer.  He is the author of the recently published book: OpenCms for Developers, a clear practical tutorial about a popular Open Source content management system.

  • OpenCms 17 available

    Apr 9, 2024 - OpenCms 17 gives content managers the new app "Date search" to find content that has been changed in a certain time range. The "Websites" app allows to easily export the content of a complete site for archiving. An option has been added to hide "sensitive" content in the Offline project. The default Mercury template has been further improved, e.g. with SEO optimized job postings, a "spacer" function and marker clusters for maps. OpenCms 17 has also been tested and certified using Java 17 LTS and 21 LTS.
