Track: Day 2 Opening Session
Speaker: Jens Dreger (DREGER Information Technology)
  Ralph Burkhart (DREGER Information Technology)

Abstract

This session showed how OpenCms can be integrated with commercial software from IBM in a complex web application environment.

OpenCms is a flexible product for integration into ERP systems, portals and complex shopping solutions. At two reference stories we showed you the enhanced capabilities of OpenCms with the integration in the IBM product portfolio.

The first example showed how a worldwide sales force organizes all processes by a global OpenCms frontend and an IBM Websphere backend.

The second example started with a quickly realized website with shopping functionalities that grows step by step to a complex shopping site with advanced features like download to pay.

Both Examples are cloud based and served by a managed service from DREGER IT, based on IBM technologies.
