This EXPERIMENTAL OpenCms 7 RC 2 update wizard for allows an almost automatic update to version 7 RC 2 from the following previous OpenCms versions:

• 6.0.0 - 6.0.4
• 6.2.0 - 6.2.3

This version will only work for MySQL based OpenCms installations.

Please have a look at the readme.txt file in the downloaded zip archive for details about the upgrade process. Before you use the upgrade wizard, please make a full backup of your OpenCms installation.

Who should use this 7 RC 2 upgrade download?

Use this download to experiment on the update from an existing OpenCms 6.x installation. For a new, fresh installation of OpenCms 7 RC 2, use the full distribution version.

Please note: We will not provide an update wizard for any non-stable version of OpenCms to version 7.0 final once available. This means that there will also be no update wizard from 7 RC 2 to 7.0 final!

Please note: The *.jar files in this binary distribution have been compiled for Java 1.5. If you are using Java 1.4, you also need to download the OpenCms 7 RC 2 Java 1.4 compatibility package.
