After logging in to the OpenCms Workplace, the Explorer view of OpenCms is displayed. It is designed like common file managers and shows the contents of the website.

In this view, it is possible to edit existing or create new pages or other resources. Changes are not visible to the public until published, and changed resources are displayed in different colors. The integrated lock/unlock mechanism coordinates editing of resources in teams.

The built-in editors are accessed from the context menu of a resource or by using the Direct Edit function in the page preview.

Multiples resources can be selected at once using the [SHIFT] or [CTRL] key to perform operations like move, delete or publish efficiently.
