OpenCms features an integrated module mechanism that allows convenient bundling of contents or functionality for deployment on other machines. Modules can provide templates to use for web site pages, new structured content items, additional frontend functions for a web site, e.g. to create photo albums or interactive online forms.
Additionally, all OpenCms workplace functions are bundled in different OpenCms modules that can easily be exchanged or updated with newer versions. This makes updating an existing OpenCms installation simple and easy.
