Integrated Offline / Online workflow

Publishing of new, changed and deleted resources in the Offline 'staging' view

The project mechanism of OpenCms provides an integrated workflow environment with Offline "staging" and Online "live" systems on the same server. All content is maintained in projects. The number of projects is unlimited.

Changes to the contents can be reviewed, thoroughly tested and approved in the Offline "staging" project before the content is published. You can also undo all unpublished changes (new/changed/deleted files or folders) and define access and publishing rules.

If changed content is to become "live", that is visible to the public, it is simply published to the Online view.

The screenshot above shows the publication of new (blue), changed (red) and deleted (striked through) resources in the OpenCms Offline "staging" view.
