OpenCms 7 introduces a great improvement in the internal link managament. The newly developed Content Relationship Engine keeps internal links intact after move or rename operations of files or complete folder structures in the virtual file system of OpenCms.

When deleting resources, eventually broken links will be detected and reported to the content editor. The publish dialog also reports links that are broken and shows all internal links that will get invalid in a list that can be printed out to be worked on.

Optionally, "dead" links can be removed from structured contents by invalidating the affected node or a definable node structure containing the broken link.

The Content Relationship Engine enables the content editor to have an overview over the files in the virtual file system of OpenCms pointing to a specific resource.

All resources linked by a file can also be shown.
