Publishing files referencing new or modified other resources like images, pages or binary downloads will also publish these related files by default.

This enables content editors to do all editing / publishing tasks using only the direct edit feature of OpenCms without the need to use the Explorer view.

The content editor can optionally deactivate the publishing of such related resources in the displayed publish dialog.

Content categories can be freely defined in OpenCms and assigned to resources like files and folders in the virtual file system of OpenCms.

To pick all matching resources for a specific category, file collectors of the OpenCms API can be used.
