It has realized an extremely accessible platform with a virtual guide (an avatar) for driving citizens around the complexities of the regional health care system.

The Institute for Particle Physics Phenomenology (IPPP) aims to foster world-class research in particle physics phenomenology - the bridge between theory and experiment in the study of the tiny building blocks of all matter in the universe and of the fundamental forces that operate between them. Developed with OpenCMS 7, the site was themed on the current Durham University website look-and-feel. Using OpenCms to drive the IPPP's website allowed full flexibility and control.

In September 1965 a scientific meeting was arranged at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. This was the first major scientific gathering with the primary task to discuss conservation measures regarding one species, the polar bear (Ursus maritimus). This forum was three years later officially established as the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group (PBSG).

The official PBSG web site was upgraded in 2009. A rusty old FrontPage site was re-created and extended as a custom built OpenCms site, developed and hosted by the Norwegian Polar Institute.

IHRU (Urban Habitation and Rehabilitation Institute) is a Portuguese governmental institution that focuses on providing technical and financial support to habitation and urban rehabilitation programs. Portal da Habitação, the institute's technological platform, was developed with OpenCms.

The S.I.S.S project (Social Services Information System) is a Web Portal of Regione Lazio, that provides solutions and instruments to satisfy the needs of operators, working in the public social service system. This portal is also a centralized point of access for citizens who want to have detailed information on the social services offered in the certified institutes of their cities and towns.

Founded in 1857 this campus in the California State University system is the oldest public institute of higher education in the state. Their site, consisting of over 100,000 pages, uses OpenCms to manage news and event listings and all university sites using the official sjsu.edu template.

The University of New South Wales was established in 1949.
